People still living with the emotional and physical effects of war and disaster require skilled and gentle support. They need practitioners with knowledge, expertise, compassion and a commitment to enabling others find peace.
You don’t have to look far to find amazing, resilient survivors of war and disaster. They are in refugee centres, they are the person behind the shop counter, our dentists, nurses, doctors. They are our neighbours near and far.
Would you like to feel confident in helping them? Would you like to work in this field but are unsure if its for you?
Join me in this updated and focused course where you can build on your skills and hear about ground-breaking resilience techniques that enable and empower individuals and whole communities.
There is a section on working with Veterans and their families, however, I feel this is a course all on its own and, with the world so in need of heart-centred practitioners, the main focus of this Finding Peace course is on civilian survivors.
Soon to make a fourth working visit to Bosnia where I am privileged and humbled to work with people who endured time in Concentration Camps, house arrest, torture, rape, starvation. I will share with you what has worked well and what to be aware of so you are easily able to create a healing and enabling environment, anywhere. In Finding Peace you will:
- Learn about ground-breaking new resilience techniques
- Quickly build trust, even with sceptics
- Develop creative ways to avoid association and abreaction
- Discover how to create a healing environment, anywhere
- Understand effects of complex PTSD and trauma on clients and their families
- Overcome potential challenges when working with a translator
- Build on and practice your skills to keep clients, translator, and yourself safe
- Discuss cultural needs and how to adapt to them
- Learn from real case studies
- Be aware of great possibilities and some limitations
- Establish if this client group is for you and, if so, develop a passion to use your expertise to do more.
I hold nothing back in this course and it is designed for practitioners who are willing to go the extra mile. Places are limited to six dedicated, caring, heart-centred people who want to make a difference and bring about peace, one person and one community at a time.
